Join us for our 7th edition of VINEYARD+WINE+CHEF+ALBUM on Thursday, August 26th at 6pm PST. We are going to talk about Phinny Hill Vineyard, and our estate block, which we named Elene’s Block. A lot of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that we get from Elene’s Block goes into our best-selling wine, The Conjurer. So, grab a bottle of your favorite vintage, fire up the grill, and see if you can duplicate this amazing recipe that our friends from the Walla Walla Steak Co. have come up with! They say it’s the perfect pairing with our wine, but we’ll let you be the judge! Recipe will be at the bottom of the page.

Trey is also going to break down one of the most seminal rock albums of all time, Van Halen I. It’s going to be a doozy! Released on Feb. 10, 1978, Van Halen ushered in a new wave of hard rock. The elements that classified the music throughout the ‘70s were still there: wafer-thin lyrical content, a preoccupation with sex and a standing philosophy that steamrolling over everything will get you out of any tough spot. Van Halen just delivered more of it. From Eddie Van Halen’s mind-warping guitar skills to David Lee Roth’s dirty-old-uncle act, rock music needed Van Halen.
