We are both excited and apologetic about this newsletter, as we announce the new release of our 2020 Magician’s Assistant Cabernet Franc Rosé. Excited, because it truly is one of the best rosés that we have made to date (and that is saying a lot!), and apologetic because there is so little to go around this year due to reduced yields in the vineyard. We encourage you to order your rosé for the season, because sadly, this will not make it past June this year. You can order that here starting today!

2018 Archimage Reserve Bordeaux Blend (52% CF 48% MER)

The 2018 Archimage was aged for 20 months in 40% new French oak. Our Estate Vineyard Blocks, located in both the Walla Walla and Red Mtn. AVA’s, make up the entirety of this incredible wine. It has aromas and flavors of dark plums, exotic spices, wet stones, anise, a hint of cedar, and fresh picked herbs, along with both red and black cherries. The oak notes complement and lift the fruit and earthy elements of this wine, and the terrific acidity adds freshness to the long, lingering finish. The tannins are prominent yet completely integrated and will help this wine age for the next two decades, and perhaps longer!

2018 Illusionist Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (81% CS 12% PV 7% CF)

The 2018 Illusionist Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from our Estate Vineyard Blocks located in both the Walla Walla and Red Mate is dominated by dense flavors of more dark cherries and plums, witn. AVA’s. It was aged for 20 months in 54% new French oak, and has a classic Cabernet nose of tobacco leaf, red and black cherries, Asian spices, cassis, earthy herbs, and fresh leather. The palth herbal undertones. It is richly textured, almost decadent, with refined, mouth coating tannins. Perfectly integrated oak notes, and incredibly fresh acidity. This Cabernet could prove to be immortal! Enjoy now, after decanting, or lay down for the next 20-25 years.
