Bygone Photos is a previously unseen collection Seattle-area, live-rock-band, film photographs, captured circa approx. 1982 – 1993. Taken by JA Andersen, a freelance music journalist of the era, and kept under lock and key for decades, the 10,000+ image archive has been unpacked, digitized, sorted, and hopes to enjoy a decades-deferred few moments of glory.

The Bygone Photos are being released for the purposes of posterity and representing the dynamics and diversity of the decade that led up to the worldwide explosion of grunge. Subjects ranging from current-day rock legends to obscurity-faded influencers, Bygone Photos is a collection of photos from the waysides — a technically imperfect, black&white, live-action, photo-journalism contribution to the PacNw’s music-historical record.
