We are so excited to welcome back our friends from Danny Newcomb and the Sugarmakers, along with the incredibly talented new group, The Copper Trees.
Danny has been a great friend of the winery ever since he visited Walla Walla to play a show with his long time collaborator Carrie Akre (Goodness, The Rockfords). Danny is finally able to tour behind his brand new album, Mackerel Sky, and you are in for a treat when you hear these songs.
Opening up for Danny is The Copper Trees, a duo consisting of Eric Lilavois and Kate Neckel. Their brand new debut album, Rêver, is a gorgeous, stripped down melodic group of really personal and reflective songs. They combine a penchant for sincere-though-dreamlike music with thought provoking visual arts. Neckel, last seen collaborating with Peal Jam’s Mike McCready, compliments colorfully the warm sonic sensibilities of Lilavois, who also owns and operates one of the most significant recording studios in Seattle (London Bridge). Together, they turn rigidity to fluidity.
