Full Bloom in Walla Walla

Seeing the sun peeking through the blinds at 5:30am means that our vines are starting to soak up more and more sunlight each day, showing us the promise of what is to come in the fall. Our vineyard crews have been working hard (as they always do), spending their time suckering the vines (removing unwanted shoots on the trunks) and tucking the young shoots into their catch wires. We can already see the baby fruit, and we are hoping for an uneventful, dry “bloom” later this month so we get a healthy fruit set.

For those of you coming down for Spring Release Weekend on May 7-9th, you’ll get your first look at our remodeled Tasting Room! The wine club lounge (now called the “Backstage Lounge”) is finally complete, our outdoor patio looks amazing thanks to Traci’s gardening skills, and the Pearl Jam poster wall and photo exhibit from our friend Jim Bennett Photography has our walls looking incredible! Oh, and the new releases are pretty stunning too!!

We are extremely excited to be bringing live music back to Sleight of Hand Cellars, outdoors and safely! We are honored to be hosting our friend, and amazing musician Danny Newcomb back to Sleight of Hand on May 22nd. For those who don't know Danny's history, he was the guitarist and songwriter for Goodness, The Rockfords, and Shadow. He is also an incredible solo artist, and is releasing his newest effort, Mackerel Sky, in May! We will have some copies available for purchase at the show.

PLEASE bring a picnic blanket, a bite to eat, and grab a bottle of wine from our tasting room. The show will be on our back lawn. Opening for Danny will be our good friend Jamie Brown. Tickets are only $10 and are available on our website. Purchase Tickets Here.
