NEW RELEASE - 2011 "The Enchantress" Chardonnay 750ml
French Creek Vineyard - Yakima Valley AVA
The 2011 Enchantress is a classic, fruit driven, old-vine Chardonnay from French Creek Vineyard, which was planted in 1978. The wine shows terrific minerality and bright acid that balances true age-worthy whites, and which is a testament to the cool 2011 vintage. The grapes were whole cluster pressed to neutral french oak barrels where they spent 11 months on the lees. The frequent stirring of the lees provides the wine with great mouthfeel. Fresh peach, apricots and apple blossoms on the nose lead to stone fruit and citrus notes and the smooth mineral finish. Outstanding now, it should age beautifully for another 7-10 years.
