2010 "The Illusionist" Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
New Release
The 2010 vintage provided the building blocks for what we believe to be the best Illusionist we have produced. Composed of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, the wine spent 20 months in 60% new French oak. Its color is an impenetrable red/black and its intoxicating nose is classic Cabernet Sauvignon, with notes of tobacco leaf, blueberries, spice box, fresh roasted coffee beans, and vanilla. The fresh acidity and well-integrated tannins keep this big shouldered wine balanced, as well as providing the framework for the long, long, long finish. We suspect this wine will be immortal, but since we aren't we will drink ours now and over the next 10-20 years!
