2010 "The Archimage" Red Blend 750ml
Release March 2013
The 2010 Archimage is a blend of 45% Cabernet Franc, 43% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot from Blue Mtn., Red Mtn. and Va Piano Vineyards. The wine was aged for 20 months in 50% new French oak. This year's Archimage is truly a complete wine. From the dark, crimson red color, to the expressive aromas and flavors of black cherries, cola, creme de cassis, vanilla, maple syrup and ripe berries, all laden with subtle hints of classic Cabernet Franc. There is a core of juicy acidity and ripe, full bodied tannins which support the generous fruit in the wine. We are sure this wine will age gracefully, and should drink well for 10-20 years, but it will certainly reward you if you open it earlier!
